Central Piedmont Community College, commonly abbreviated as CPCC is one of the largest community colleges in Charlotte NC today. The college is also one of the most recognized community colleges within the state of North Carolina. Why Central Piedmont Community College – Charlotte NC? Well, the college was named central piedmont by statute and is mainly referred to as CPCC or the central Piedmont. Today, the college boasts of an enrollment of more than 70000 students. Is located 30 miles east of the the state’s capital, Raleigh, NC, of Interstate 95. The college sits on a 175 acre campus and has a student population of 6,000 students and ranks 16th among of the state’s 58 community colleges.

The college offers two programs in Medical Assisting: a one year diploma track and a two year associate degree track. Both programs prepare students to perform administrative and laboratory duties in a doctor’s office setting. Upon completing the program, graduates can take the American Association of Medical Assistants Exam to be certified as Medical Assistants.
